About - Joey Monson-Lillie

When I was a girl, I vividly remember the cover of a National Geographic magazine that was at my grandma's house.  It was the famous 'Afghan Girl' cover by Steve McCurry, and most if not all of you would recognize it if you saw it.  The girl had the greenest eyes I'd ever seen, and she seemed to look into my soul as I looked into hers.  I stared at that portrait more times than I can count, and each time it became more mesmerizing.  That's  one moment I recall as a child knowing what my soul was calling me to do: To create beautiful photographs.

Sometimes we grow older and lose touch with that child's soul, so I feel blessed beyond measure that I've been given the time and the chance to make my soul happy and simultaneously make other souls happy by making beautiful portraits that these fellow humans never tire of looking at, and that their children and grandchildren will stare at with the same mesmerizing wonder.

I'm a passionate and compassionate photographer with the heart of an artist.  Nothing fills my cup more than providing my clients with beautiful portraits that they'll hand down through generations.

If this speaks to you and you'd like to allow me the opportunity to capture you or your family, please feel free to contact me at the 'Contact' page, above!  I do my best to respond to all inquiries within 24 hours.
